First, I am curious to know what one word you would choose to describe or capsulize this Quarantine #STAYHOME time?
I am excited to celebrate The Good News of Easter this year like never before. I am grateful we live in a country where we are free to worship and observe Easter and Passover. It is unimaginable that we are not gathering to celebrate the most Holy of days but here we are for the good of all. Even though we are not in control of so much these days, remember, the creator of the universe is still in control and loves us all! Happy Passover and Happy Easter!!
My word to describe this time is “UNCERTAINTY”. It is what causes the most anxiety for me so I will share a few things that help me stay grounded in this time of uncertainty.
1.ROUTINES– Making the Bed and Cleaning the Kitchen Sink at the end of the day can help us feel in control at the start and end of our day. Try this and tell me if it doesn’t put a smile on your face in the morning to get up to a clean sink!
2.WRITE IT DOWN – Great project for Home Schooling Kiddo’s to share one day with their Grand Kids! Document your unusual daily schedule and how it’s changed during this Quarantine! This will be recorded in history and studied with future generations!
3.EXERCISE– take the dog for a walk. Lots of great You-tube videos to help with workouts!
4. SERVE– Check in with neighbors, friends and family to stay connected and see where you can be of help or just an ear to listen.
5.GRATITUDE LIST– Make a list of things to be grateful for! There are so many. If having a challenging time just start with the most basic and I promise more will come to mind.
6.LAUGH OFTEN-Even if it’s to keep from crying! It’s good medicine to lighten up and release tension! Check out the COVID and Quarantine memes going “viral”!
7.LEARN SOMETHING NEW– Use this time to acquire a new skill or take an online tutorial. I finally had time to learn how to load new projects onto the new website! Check it out @ www.DonaRoseneInteriors.com
8.“E.G.R.” EXTRA GRACE REQUIRED! We all need an extra dose of grace right now- for ourselves and others!
9.#HOMELOVE– Invest in your Nest! This is more obviously important now than ever! I love hearing how clients are enjoying their homes designed by Dona Rosene Interiors! Let us know if you would like to discuss a remote project now or get on the books because this will not last forever!
10.FINALLY, remember Winston Churchill’s famous words during WWII “When you’re going through hell, keep going.” It’s not a good place to stop!
